Abstract: The results obtained by studying dilepton production via γ*/Z exchange in proton–proton collisions at the LHC are presented. Data from the CMS experiment on differential and double-differential cross sections for Drell–Yan processes (dδ/dM and dδ/dM dY ), forward–backward asymmetry (A$_{FB}$ ), and weak mixing angle (sin$^{2}$ θ$_{W}$) are given. Within the errors, the results agree with respective Standard Model predictions.
